> Making a Family Album
The
timeline that is commonly used is the line with information
above and below it, but you can use other ways to visually
display your milestones or those of your family. For
instance, you can create a family album.
Have other people you are close with, (this means family
or it could be friends or people whom you consider part
of your family) put information in a scrapbook. You
create the categories you want to document, so that
everyone is represented. You can record events as they
happen, or write them down after the fact, from what
you remember. It might be interesting to have different
family members or friends write about the same event
and see if they think of or remember things differently.
If you have friends or family members who are too young
to write down information, they could draw pictures
of what they think about an event.
After you finish the different categories, you might
want to create a table of contents or an index so you
can find things in your album.
You can decorate it with family memorabilia (ask your
parents or an adult first) or with pictures from magazines.
You can also embellish it with glitter glue, magic markers,
colored pencils, cut out pieces of construction paper,
pipe cleaners, etc.
