Answer these questions yourself first. Then ask a friend, or an older person, parent or relative and see if you get the same answers.

  • Do you like your name? What do you like about it?
  • Do you know what it means? What language it comes from?
  • If you donĂt like your name, why not?
  • Who named you, and why? Were you named for someone else? In honor of someone else?
  • Is there a history to your name in your family? Are you a Junior, Senior, the II, III, IV? (One king of England was Henry the VIII!)
  • Are there any stories in your family about your name?
